Kornfeil has a new smell of fresh baked goods

The opening of the new test bakery, The Lab by Kornfeil, marked the beginning of a new era for our company. Right at our production facility in Čejč, our customers can try out our baking technologies and, during special workshops, gain knowledge, inspiration, and learn about the latest trends from world leaders in the field.

The end of January 2025 saw the first in a series of baking workshops led by Alejandro Luna and Jonny Pisanello of the renowned Sonoma Baking Co. in Sydney, one of the leaders in the Artisan sector.

Participants were able to look under their experienced hands and learn how to make the best pastry pieces - Baba au Rhum, Tarte Tropézienne, Classic Éclair and many more. Panettone resonated most among those present. The winner of the prestigious Panettone World Cup Australia 2024 competition shared his know-how.

During the two days of testing, tasting and passionate debate in an inspiring environment. Candidates had ample time to ask questions and record personalised answers. Basic recipes and technological procedures were prepared for the participants in advance - clearly and in print. This allowed them to concentrate on the essentials: baking and sharing the experience.

We are very happy that we have managed to turn our idea of a place where knowledge, passion and love for baking will be openly shared into reality - The Lab by Kornfeil. We want to make it smell like fresh baked goods in Čejč on a regular basis. And so we are planning more workshops!
